Ethiopia’s agricultural research has made significant contributions to the increase in agricultural production. More than 1500 varieties of crops have been introduced so far. Similarly, many more technologies in the fields of livestock, natural resources, food and nutrition, and social sciences are also documented and communicated to the production sector. 

These technologies must be multiplied and made accessible to producers as soon as they are released for production. In addition, end users should be provided with information about the technologies and their production packages. Though there is an established means for communicating agricultural research results and technologies to users, there is no digital system for providing an organized supply of information to all parties. Because of this, we have now developed a database where users can find all information associated with released agricultural technologies.

Archive Management System (Mezgeb)

Letter writing coupled with acquisition, care, arrangement, description and retrieval of records is an area that requires advancement. We now have a digital document archival system that can be reshaped to your interest.  A one step up digital system which we call it MEZGEB is now available for use. In this software, any employees can prepare a letter and submit it to the authority for signature and directly to the central archive system. As soon as the letter gets approval, it can reach the receiver immediately via the software and/or email. It simplifies the routine manual system. To assure simple traceability is equipped with a barcode system.
